SHARE DAVIS SHERIFF HOPEFULS PLAN 2 DEBATES THIS WEEK

The two Republican candidates for sheriff in Davis County are scheduled to debate each other twice this week. Sgt. Robert Davis, a 13-year sheriff's department veteran, is challenging incumbent Glenn Clary, who is running for a second term.

There is no Democratic sheriff candidate so, barring a write-in campaign, the winner of the June 28 primary election will be unopposed in the November general election.The two candidates will debate at noon Wednesday, June 15, at the Bountiful Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon in the Pine Room at Servus Drug, Bountiful.

They will meet again at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the South Davis Library branch, 725 S. Main St., Bountiful.
