Agnes Yeros Kandaris, age 67, died June 11, 1994 at the Castle Country Care Center in Price, Utah after a long battle against multiple sclerosis.

She was born May 7, 1927 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Peter and Evlienia Stathopoulos Yeros. She married Mike Kandaris on July 2, 1950.After moving to Price in 1950, she worked at Motor Credit Union. She also worked with her husband at Mike's Shoe Store and Westar. Her illness forced her to quit working in 1968. From that time until her death, she fought valiantly and courageously against her disease. She was a lifetime Bronco fan.

She is survived by her husband, Mike of Price; two children, Pam and Steve Cha, Price; Peter and Mary Kandaris, Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Joshua and Stephanie Cha, Katie and Michael Kandaris; two brothers, John, Denver, Colo.; Jim, Athens, Greece. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a community of friends. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Nick.

Funeral services Wednesday, June 15, 1994, 11 a.m., Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. Family will be at the church one hour prior to services. Trisagion prayer service Tuesday evening, 7:30 p.m. at the church. Officiating, Rev., Fr. Kallinikos Petsas. Interment, Price City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 525 South 300 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 or to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 61 South 200 East, Price, UT 84501.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Castle Country Care Center for the care they've given Agnes for the last 9 1/2 years.
