Don W. Snow, age 79, died June 11, 1994.
He was born May 7, 1915 in Orangeville, Utah, the son of Samuel and Cleao Poulsen Snow. Married Esther Rauhala April 16, 1937 in Castle Dale, Utah. Don graduated from Carbon High School as Class President in 1934 and received an athletic scholarship to Snow College.He worked in various coal mines in Carbon County and in 1952 joined the U.S. Bureau of Mines, where he was assigned to offices in St. Clairsville, Ohio, Johnstown and Clearfield, Pennsylvania and Denver, Colorado prior to retirement in 1975.
An avid outdoorsman, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and sharing his gifts with his many friends and family. He will be dearly missed.
Survived by his wife, Esther R. Snow, Orangeville; two daughters, one son and spouses: Karen and Dr. Burt Guymon, Upland, Calif.; Claudia and James Koch, Layton, Utah; Don R. and Dorothy O'Brien Snow, Missoula, Mont.; brother, Claude Snow, Ferron, Utah; two sisters, Margaret Kay, Salt Lake City; Hannah Larsen, Price; eight grandchildren, Gary, Glen, Greg and Gennifer (Allred) Guymon; Cindy (Smart), Tracy and Jim Koch, and Tenly Snow; four great-grandsons, Cory J. and Eric Smart, Wesley Guymon and Ryan Allred.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 15, 1994, 1 p.m. at Mitchell Chapel, Price. The family will be at Mitchell's Funeral Home Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Friends may call daily at Mitchell's from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Interment, Orangeville City Cemetery, Orangeville, Utah.
