Jason W. Nielsen, beloved son, brother and friend, died Sunday, June 12, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jason was born in Stockton, California, May 22, 1972 to Dr. Richard W. and Maralyn J. Nielsen.He graduated from East High School in 1990, where he played varsity tennis and basketball. He was a junior at the University of Utah.
Jason considered himself "just a regular guy," but those who knew and loved him will remember him for his beautiful smile, his warm and loving nature and his ability to accept others unconditionally. He desired justice for all individuals and disliked any degradation or oppression of another human being or animal. His love of tennis, skiing, windsurfing and fishing in Alaska displayed his vibrant and exuberant zest for life.
He is survived by his loving parents, Rick and Maralyn, his wonderful brother, Christian, grandparents, Archie and Flossie Jensen from Rexburg, Idaho; and grandmother, Janet K. Nielsen of Boise, Idaho; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 1994 in the Federal Heights Ward, 1300 East Fairfax Road, at 12 noon, Burial services will follow the funeral in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and Thursday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Federal Heights Ward.
