It might turn out to be difficult proving that Rep. Dan Rostenkowski had a number of "ghost employees" on the federal payroll. It reminds me of the boss who when asked how many people he had working for him replied, "about half."
- Getting paid for no work is not exactly a new phenomenon in government. Actually, the longer you do nothing the better you become at it. And with seniority comes more vacation time.- After all the criticism about Congress renewings its parking perks, the sign marking the "Members of Congress Only" parking lot at the Washington airport has been changed. It now reads, "authorized vehicles only." Ghost parking spaces!
