SHARE DEATH: C. RAY JONES

C. Ray Jones, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away, June 13, 1994 after a long illness.

He was born January 18, 1924 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to Thomas Clyde and Anne Walker Jones. He married Cherril Christensen on March 21, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ray graduated from South High, spent three years in the military during World War II and then attended the University of Utah. He worked for American Oil Co. and retired after 30 years of service. He went to work for Arnold Machinery and retired after 10 years. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served diligently in many callings. Ray's two greatest joys in life were his eight grandchildren who adored him, and his cabin in Midway which he called his "Heaven on Earth."He is survived by his wife, Cherril, sons, Dr. Steven Ray (Vicki), Jeffrey Mark (Barbara), his eight grandchildren, Emily, Todd, Lara, Kelley, Kami, Catherine, Michele and Caroline, and by his brother-in-law, Jay Christensen (Eleanor). He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wally.

The family would like to express deepest thanks to Dr. John Greenlee for his concern and care for Ray during his illness and to the members of the I.H.C. Hospice Team who assisted with his care so faithfully at his home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 1994 at 12 noon, in the Valley View Stake Center, 2245 East 3900 South. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
