SHARE COUGAR CLUB GOLF CLASSIC SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY

Local businessmen and BYU celebrities will participate in the third Cougar Club Golf Classic on Monday.

The annual tournament, sponsored by Franklin Quest and other Utah businesses, raises funds for the Cougar Club Athletic Scholarship Endowment.The tournament will be held at Jeremy Ranch and features former BYU athletic standouts such as Jason Buck and Robbie Bosco; media personalities like Paul James; and current BYU golf coaches Bruce Brockbank and Gary Howard.

One BYU personality will play with each team in the five-man shotgun scramble scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Twenty-nine teams are expected to vie for more than $2,000 in tournament prizes.

Along with awards for the top four teams, two longest-drive and three closest-to-the-hole contests will be held. A new Buick from Christensen Chevrolet will be awarded for a hole-in-one on the par-three 17th hole.
