SHARE FEDOROV WINS MVP, DEFENSIVE AWARDS

Detroit's Sergei Fedorov received the Hart Trophy as MVP and the Selke Award as top defensive forward during the NHL Awards banquet.

The Russian center was selected to the all-star team along with Boston defenseman Ray Bourque, Buffalo goalie Dominik Hasek, Vancouver right wing Pavel Bure, St. Louis left wing Brendan Shanahan and New Jersey defenseman Scott Stevens.Bourque won his fifth Norris Trophy as top defenseman, Hasek took the Vezina Trophy for best goaltender and Los Angeles' Wayne Gretzky won his fourth Lady Byng Trophy as most gentlemanly player.

New Jersey's Jacques Lemaire won the Adams Award as coach of the year and Devils goalie Martin Brodeur took the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year. Boston's Cam Neely won the Masterton Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication.
