Italian players will have to imitate the camels for the World Cup, their coach said Wednesday.
Arrigo Sacchi said the "Azzurri" will have to fill up on water prior to the game against Ireland at Giants Stadium on Saturday to overcome problems of heat and dehydration."We must do like the camels and build a reserve of water before entering the field," Sacchi said at the Pingry School, Italy's training camp.
Italian officials said they were waiting for final instructions from FIFA on supplying water to the players during the game.
"Players will also need ice compresses (on the head) between halves," Sacchi added.
He also said that heat and humidity are going to slow down the pace of play.
