Myrtle Gale Stimpson Barber, 90, of Spanish Fork, died Wednesday, June 15, 1994 at the Hale Rest Home in Spanish Fork.

She was born on April 4, 1904 in Riverdale, Utah, the daughter of John Stimpson and Annie Esther Gale Stimpson. She married LaVon Doyle Taylor on August 18, 1926. They were later divorced. She married Levi U. Barber on November 23, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on February 17, 1975.She was a dedicated homemaker and had great love for her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many capacities. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Survivors include six children: Robert B. and Joy Barber, West Valley City; Carolyn Hilling, Rupert, Idaho; Richard L. Taylor, Salt Lake City; John Keith and Edith Barber; Joan and Glenn James; Douglas and Susan Barber, all of Spanish Fork; 37 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Stephens, Ogden; Bertha Zito, Tremonton. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Kathleen Barber, and five brothers.

Funeral services, Saturday, June 18th at 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, 187 So. Main Street, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday evening 6-8 p.m. or Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial in the Ogden City Cemetery.
