SHARE FILLMORE STUDENT LAUDED FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Greg Roper's business venture in Fillmore earned him the title of Utah's Young Entrepreneur, presented in Salt Lake City where 10 finalists from throughout the state were also honored.

A student at Millard High School in Fillmore, his first place selection earned him a $2,000 cash award. He owns and operates "Greg's Cards and Collectibles."Students prepare applications and submit them to judges in the program that is designed to recognize successful, young business owners. It is sponsored by the Utah State Office of Education and Merit Medical Inc.

The young entrepreneur counts many autographed items from professional sports figures among his prized possessions and says he enjoys sports memorabilia.
