He swims! He dives! He looks good in a Speedo! And all he gets is a lousy T-shirt?

David Hasselhoff, top-dog lifeguard on television's "Baywatch," was named an honorary member of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol in Atlantic City, N.J.Mayor James Whelan and Roger Wagner, president and chief operating officer of Trump's Castle casino, presented the actor with a certificate and beach patrol T-shirt Thursday.

Hasselhoff gave Whelan a "Baywatch" jacket.

"This is great," Hasselhoff said. "I'm not a lifeguard at all, but we have to stay in shape in order to look like one on television."
