CAT REFUSES TO TURN UP HER NOSE AT UNUSUAL BROOD

SHARE CAT REFUSES TO TURN UP HER NOSE AT UNUSUAL BROOD

Sheri Bitton's cat has an unusual brood that includes an infant skunk whose mother was killed.

Bitton's husband, Robert, left for work Wednesday around 6:30 a.m. and noticed someone had run over a skunk in front of their home.Later that morning, she was alerted by some of her children and neighbors that there was a baby skunk alongside the road. The animal is about the size of a mouse, is not yet able to focus its eyes and has peach fuzz for fur.

But there's no mistaking. Squeaker, named for the muffled noises he makes, definitely looks like a skunk. But the Bitton's cat, Ashes, hasn't put up a stink over adopting the new member to her litter.
