A record-setting 564 degrees were awarded to Ricks College graduates during summer graduation ceremonies May 27.
The 2,299 diplomas awarded at the April graduation ceremonies brought the total number of Ricks College graduates this year to 2,863, the largest number of graduates in the school's history, and more than 339 over last year.The degrees that were awarded May 27 were an increase of 28 diplomas over last year's 536 degrees.
Ricks College Pres. Steven D. Bennion commended the graduates for their hard work and achievements. "You leave here more prepared, more self-confident, more grounded in values that will help you face the challenges that life will offer you," he said.
This summer's graduates include 366 women and 191 men; 212 from Idaho, 64 from Utah and 58 from California; 167 returned missionaries; 119 transfer students; 39 married students; and 34 foreign students.
