A 19-year-old Kanab man and a 14-year-old South Jordan girl captured the gold in the Utah Summer Games 10K run Saturday.

Jeremy Button ran the 6.2-mile course in 34:13 to capture the overall men's title. South Jordan's Christine Kocherhans shattered her age group's USG record by nearly five minutes, clocking 42 minutes over the course.The men's 5K overall winner was Cameron Harrison, 18, of Magna, who finished with a 16:05. Women's winner was 33-year-old Melody Flygare of Highland, who finished with 17:35 - topping a record of 19:10 she set last year.
