Kent Wadsworth Rounds, 74, passed away June 1, 1994 following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born December 10, 1919 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Grant Albert and Gertrude Louisa Wadsworth Rounds. He married his college sweetheart Cenella Fagg in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 4, 1942.He served as a lieutenant in the US Army during World War II. He received a BS degree from Brigham Young University. He worked for Del Monte Corporation for 37 years in both Ogden and San Francisco, California. He loved sports and was an avid Cougar fan. (He was an aficionado of Snelgrove malts.) His three great loves, however were his wife, his family and his church. He served in two bishoprics and a stake high council, numerous other church callings, including a mission with his wife to the Texas, Dallas Mission. He has served eight years as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Cenella of Orem; his children, Norman and Peggy Rounds, Carolyn and Richard Buck, Louise Rounds, Al and Nancy Rounds, all of Salt Lake City; Janet and Roger Clarke, La Canada, California; Barbara and Steve Stuart, Oak City, and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Hugh G. and F. Richard Rounds.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, at 12 noon in the Sharon Park Second Ward LDS Chapel, 200 North and 200 East, Orem. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 North 800 East, Orem and Saturday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the ward chapel prior to the services. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City.
