"Tays" died May 30, 1994 at age 92, of causes incident to age.
He was born September 13, 1901 in Crystal, Colorado, to George H. and Helen Frances Phillips Tays. He married Ethel Biggs in 1938 and was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died Sept. 17, 1966. He married Ann Wilcox Armstrong August 12, 1967. He was a longtime resident of Carbon County and retired as a carman from the D&RG Railroad after 35 years of service in Helper, Utah.
"Tays" never had any children but was a wonderful father and grandfather to all those he inherited. He was a very kind and compassionate person and will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made each day of his long life!He is survived by his wife, Ann and children, Frances (Jim) Domire of West Jordan; Jack (Nadine) Armstrong, Auburn, Calif.; Nora (Edward) Piacitelli, Price; Marie Teasdale, Provo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, sisters, Kate Chapman, Elizabeth Cool and brother, Roger Tays.
Funeral services: Saturday, June 4, 1994 at 11 a.m. Viewing will be one hour before service at Mitchell's Funeral Home, 233 E. Main Street, Price. Utah. Interment Price City Cemetery.
