TEACH LAWS OF OUR LAND IN SCHOOLS

SHARE TEACH LAWS OF OUR LAND IN SCHOOLS

If we would get off the John Deweyist bent and begin again to teach history and geography in the elementary schools rather than social studies, the Constitution of the United States might then be taught, and we would all better know the laws of our land and how our government is supposed to work.

It is suggested that the news media keep on harping on moves to take our guns away because some people and particularly children, get shot with guns. There are those, including children, who are involved in car accidents, but we do not seek to outlaw the automobile. Some far-out environmentalists do, but I'm sure their motives just may be to find ways to stop our progress.

Let us respect and hold inviolate the Constitution, the instrument by which the ultimate freedoms enjoyed by residents of this country have been able to experience the fullest life known to man.
