Scott Handson scored two tries and the United States beat canada 22-0 in a Rugby League international match played Sunday in 95 degree heat.

Handson, of Atlantic City, gave the United States a 4-0 lead with his first try just before halftime. The United States pullled away in the second half on tries by Handson, Bob Alachandran of Albany, N.Y., Jeff Preston of Philadelphia and Mike Evergin of Newport Beach, Calif.The United States has won all three matches against Canada in Rugby League, a mix between rugby and football that features 13 players instead of the usual 15 and allows a team six downs per possession. The teams meet again Oct. 1 at Niagara Falls, Canada.
