Judith "Judy" Newton Adams, 55, returned to her Heavenly Father, peacefully June 19, 1994.
Born June 23, 1938 in Price, Utah, to Jay Merrill and Edith Mable Babcock Newton. She married her sweetheart, Claude Tebbs Adams, November 22, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.After graduating from Carbon High School, Judy worked as a model at ZCMI, where she met and married her husband. They lived in Salt Lake, Dugway, and Las Vegas, before moving to Parowan in 1972. Also served as Primary teacher and Young Womens' teacher in the LDS Church.
Judy was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her whole life centered around her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her kindness to others. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.
Survivors: husband, Claude Tebbs Adams of Parowan; daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Peggy) Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Brian (Cecilia) Johnson of Parowan; and Mrs. Dan (Jayne) Stones of Paragonah; son, Dan and wife, Barbara Adams of Murray; 12 grandchildren; parents, Jay M. and Edith Newton of Murray; brother, Roger and wife, Janis Newton of Sandy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m, at the Parowan 1st/2nd Ward chapel, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the Parowan Chapel. Interment will be in the Parowan Cemetery.
