Joseph Rakich, 77, died June 20, 1994 at his home in Midvale.
Born January 16, 1917 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Nikola and Helen Cetina Rakich. Married Mildred Dragosavac in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 12, 1937. She preceded him in death May 1, 1993. Joseph was a retired Locomotive Engineer and Supervisor at Kennecott Copper where he worked for 45 years. A member of the Greek Orthodox Church, he served as Justice of the Peace in Bingham Canyon and loved to hunt, work in his yard, and to garden.Survivors: sons, Larry Dean, Salt Lake; Nick, Midvale; daughters, Jolene Rindlisbach and husband Jack; Shar Walters, all Bluffdale; grandchildren, Kirk, Shelly, Christy, Craig, Nicholas, Nicole; great-grandchildren, Andrew J., Lindsi, Ashli, McKell; sisters, Mildred R. Jensen, Hawthorne, California; Mary Demercurio, Grand Junction, Colorado; Ann Gardner, Price, Utah; Sophie Humphreys, Salt Lake; brothers, Pete Rakich, Yuba City, California; Vern Rakich, Paradise, California; George Error, Pueblo, Colorado; Mike Error, Longview, Washington. Preceded in death by a son, Joey.
Funeral services Friday, June 24, 1994, at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services.
Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
