Kayle LeRoy Longfellow, passed away Saturday, June 18, 1994 at his home of heart failure.
He was born January 7, 1933 in Logan, Utah, a son of Orville and Melba Longfellow. He had lived in Ogden all his life. He was a member of the LDS Church. He married Carolyn Shaw, June 26, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple, but later divorced. He retired from HAFB in 1987 after 33 years of service as an electrical engineer. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting fishing, and going to Wendover, Nevada, to partake of the evils.Surviving are his children, Kathleen Turner, Herriman, Utah; Blaine Longfellow, Layton; RaNae Derico, Orem; David Longfellow, Layton; Richard Longfellow, Ogden; Dennis Longfellow, Uintah; Kenneth Longfellow, Ogden; Lisa Longfellow, Provo; 22 grandchildren.
Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Lamar Longfellow, Ogden; Artie Longfellow, Ogden; Donna Lou Uhery, Ogden; Connie Lawson, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Max.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 11 a.m. at Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836 36th St. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
