Voting to unanimously approve the city's $20 million budget for fiscal 1994-95, the City Council was happy to hear Tuesday had an extra $300,000 to spend.

"We ended up with more property tax revenues than we thought," said Mayor Tom Dolan, who added the money is sorely needed to keep up with the fast-growing city."Things are happening so fast we're falling behind on our infrastructure," said Dolan, who noted also that this year's budget, the largest in local history, has no tax increases.

The unexpected windfall was enough to provide for a number of small programs and donations the city had planned on excluding.
