Glen LeRoy Ericson, 74, of Orem, died quietly at his home from a lingering illness Tuesday, June 21, 1994.
He was born September 4, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of John Graham and Blanche Murphy Ericson. He married Donna Maude Hampshire September 12, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming.He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in Alaska. He was a plumbing supply salesman most of his life. He owned and operated Grandview and G&L Plumbing from 1956 to 1969. He worked for Familian Plumbing Supply in Salt Lake City from 1969 to 1988 and for Plumbers Supply until he retired in 1990.
He was a coach for several years in the Provo Boys Baseball program. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved fishing, hunting and bowling. He most loved and enjoyed his family and the activities they did together.
Survivors include his wife, of Orem; a son and a daughter, Glen L. and Debra Ericson, Jr., of Everett, Wash.; Peggy Ann and Paul H. Peterson, of Orem; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Robert D. Ericson, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, at 11 a.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by VFW District #4.
