Five people are still in the running to replace Chuck Daly as coach of the New Jersey Nets and one of them will probably get the job early next week, general manager Willis Reed said Friday.

The short list includes Brendan Suhr and Paul Silas, two of Daly's assistants, as well as Indiana assistant Bill Blair, Orlando assistant Bob Hill and Howard University coach Butch Beard."We're going to try to get it done by next week, before the draft," Reed said during an informal meeting with the media to discuss Wednesday's draft.

Reed said the five candidates have already been interviewed, and none has been offered the job yet.
