SHARE BODY OF MISSING N.M. MAN FOUND IN COLORADO RIVER

The body of an Albuquerque man missing since Wednesday was found floating in the Colorado River near Moab early Saturday morning.

About 4 a.m., Grand County search and rescue teams located the body of Steven Plumb, 35, near the Potash River boat ramp, according to a Grand County dispatcher. Plumb was apparently unable to free himself from an undercurrent while swimming in the river Wednesday.While rescue crews in Grand County searched for Plumb, a Smithfield man drowned Thursday night while swimming in the Porcupine Reservoir in Cache County.

Matthew Churchill was swimming across the east part of the reservoir near the dam with two friends about 5:30 p.m. when he called out for help, a Cache County dispatcher said. Churchill slipped under water before his friends could reach him. The Cache County Water Rescue Team reached Churchill's lifeless body at 8:30 p.m.
