Asael Mackay Wallace, age 78, our loving father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, June 23, 1994.

Born September 8, 1915 in Garland, Utah, son of James Newton and Clara Caroline Mackay Wallace. Married Elizabeth Labrum June 16, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in 1992.He was an active member of the LDS Church serving an Hawaiian mission in his early years and more recently as a Jordan River Temple worker. The church was the fabric on which his life was woven as he served in the sports program, worked on the welfare farm and on the high council. He was a member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers. He farmed in Granger for 54 years, working much of that time with his team of horses. He drove school bus for the Granite District for more than 20 years. Also opened up his farm to school children and was known as the "school bus driver and the farmer."

Survived by sons, Olani (Lorraine), Nephi; Loren (Karenann), Cornish; daughter, Gayle Siddoway, West Valley City; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Melbourne, Arthur, Marvin, James, Verl, Richard, Clinton and David Wallace, Esther West and Betty Sudweeks. Preceded in death by wife, sister, Edna Rasmussen; and a great-grandson, Austin Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 Noon at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 3836 West 4100 South. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Tuesday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
