SHARE BYU’S LOTT WINS JUNIOR HEPTATHLON

Freshman All-American heptathlete Tiffany Lott added more luster to her rookie season with a win in the USA Track and Field Junior Championships Saturday night.

Lott, who scored 5,267 points, added the heptathalon title to her second place in the javelin throw Friday.She and fellow Cougar All-American Amy Christiansen, who won the shot put title Friday, will both travel to Lisbon, Portugal, next month for the World Junior Championships.

Cougar teammate Marty Aparicio finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:50.68 and Mark Lawson of the BYU men's team finished fourth in the 10K (no time available).
