Minnesota native Linda Fields has been named director of the Richfield City Public Library. The selection was approved by the City Council following a recommendation of the library board.
Fields earned bachelor's and master's degrees in geography from San Diego State University after completing studies for an associate degree in accounting at the Community College in Chula Vista, Calif.After leaving Minnesota, she attended schools in Arizona and California before completing her higher education. She has taught school and has had experience in libraries.
The Richfield Library is currently housed in the city building but will be moved to the Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center in Richfield after a new $5 million convention center and expansion program is completed at the technology center.
