Scott Bryant had five hits, including three doubles, to pace Calgary's 19-hit attack in the Cannons' 15-9 win over Las Vegas Tuesday night.

Torey Lovullo had two hits, including his fifth home run of the season, and four RBI for Calgary to help make a winner out of Weston Weber (5-5). Weber earned the win despite allowing seven runs on 10 hits in five innings. He struck out eight batters.Calgary trailed 2-1 entering the fifth inning but sent 13 men to the plate, scoring nine runs on nine hits and taking advantage of three errors by Las Vegas, two of which came on the same play by Stars' centerfielder Ray McDavid.

Phoenix 5, Albuquerque 4

In Scottsdale, the Phoenix Firebirds beat Albuquerque on the strength of a five-run third inning in Pacific Coast League action Tuesday night.

Brent Cookson broke the game open in the third with a triple to clear the loaded bases and begin the rally of six consecutive hits.

Mark Leonard went three-for-four for the Firebirds, while Clay Bellinger and Cookson each added two hits.

Phoenix starter Joe Rosselli (1-1) allowed just one run on four hits over seven innings. Tony Menendez picked up his eighth save of the season.
