UTA trolley service starts summer run Friday in S.L.

Utah Transit Authority's trolley service begins for the summer season Friday in downtown Salt Lake City.The traditional trolleys provide loop service through the downtown shopping area, to local hotels and to Trolley Square. Service operates every 20 minutes from approximately 11 a.m. to about 10 p.m.

Trolley fare is 65 cents per ride. A $1.25 unlimited UTA day pass is also available on the trolley, at some hotel lobby desks or at the Salt Lake Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Trolleys will run six days a week through Saturday, Sept. 3. They will resume operation the first of December for the Christmas season.
