THE U.S. BORDER PATROL in Brownsville, Texas, Friday detained 106 Cubans who waded across the Rio Grande from Mexico, a spokesman said. The Cubans are in custody awaiting an immigration hearing. So far they have not asked for political asylum, said assistant patrol agent Arturo Moreno.
