A Maryland man was killed Friday when a train struck his car near McIntyre, about 10 miles south of Eureka, a Juab County deputy sheriff said.

Killed was:Gregory J. Olsen, 43, Crofton, Md.

Olsen, a general manager of McIntyre Investment Co., was driving west at 3:55 p.m. when the southbound Union Pacific train struck his car, deputy Glen Wilde said. The crossing has no flashing lights and is marked only with railroad signs.

Olsen was traveling alone. There were no reports of injuries on the train.
