Raymond Irwin Goodman, Sr., entered the next phase of his life on May 29, 1994 as a result of causes to advanced years.

He was 91 years of age.Raymond was born to Thomas Ralph Goodman and Mary Virginia Wilson Goodman on August 29, 1902, in Carrick, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He married Alma Dolores Flanagan on January 1, 1931.

They had two sons, Raymond Irwin Goodman, Jr., and Thomas Victor Goodman.

Raymond moved from Carrick, Pennsylvania while in his early teens and graduated from Glendale High School, Glendale, California and the Frank Wiggins Trade School of Los Angeles. He worked for over 50 years in the plumbing industry in Los Angeles, specializing in industrial plumbing. He was the plumbing construction superintendent and foreman of large buildings in the Los Angeles area.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having been baptized in his 89th year.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Alma, and their son, Tom, along with Raymond's parents. Also preceding him were his three brothers, Ralph Goodman, Glendale, Calif.; William Goodman of North Hollywood, Calif.; and Leroy V. Goodman of McLean, Virginia.

Raymond is survived by his son, R. Irwin Goodman, and Irwin's wife, Naomi of Sandy; along with four grandchildren, Carolyn E. Miakashi, her husband, Yaso, of Torrance, Calif.; Charlotte A. McEwan and her husband, Richard, of Orem, Utah; Michael I. Goodman and wife, Julie, of St. George; and Aaron D. Goodman of Cedar City. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center, Provo, on Saturday, June 4, 1994 at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.

Kind and gentle and considerate of others, Raymond Goodman was a good and a noble man.
