DEATH: ALTA M. FOX SCOWN DEC. 8, 1903 - JUNE 3, 1994


Alta waited 30 years to rejoin her beloved Norman and today we know they are content to be together.

Alta Fox was born in Lehi, Utah to George Henry and Naomi Jane Powell Fox. She had three older brothers, George A., Forest, Deray, and a younger sister, Reva. Many close aunts, uncles, and cousins were part of her special extended family.She married Norman Scown in 1924 in Preston, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived for a short while in Idaho, Salt Lake City, and made their last home in Lehi. She spent her remaining years in Duchesne with her daughter, Rosalie and family.

She is survived by children: Norman and Shirley, Lehi; LaMar and LaRetta, Kansas City, Kansas; Paul and Edith, North Salt Lake; Dennis and Gloria Finch, Colton, Utah; John and Elaine MacLean, Stafford, Texas; Fred and Rosalie Seamons, Duchesne; and a daughter-in-law, Melba Scown. She was preceded in death by husband, Norman; son, Vincent; brothers and sister, two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She left 32 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Lehi 1st-6th Ward LDS Chapel, 120 West 200 So., Wednesday, June 8, 1994 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call Tuesday evening at the Church from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Wing Mortuary.
