An anonymous donor has offered a $1,000 reward for the safe return of a 3-year-old girl who disappeared Saturday afternoon from a park playground.

About 100 volunteers joined more than 50 police officers, Weber County sheriff's deputies and area firefighters in conducting house-to-house searches until nightfall Sunday.Courtney Jo Flemal was last seen playing with a number of other children at Ogden's Liberty Park. She was noticed missing by her mother, Shelly Flemal, about 4 p.m. Saturday and hasn't been seen since.

"Without anything else to go on, we're treating this as a stranger abduction right now," said police Lt. Steve Turner.

The child was described as white, about 3 feet tall, 30-to-35 pounds, with wavy shoulder-length blond hair and green eyes.

She was wearing a purple flannel shirt, jeans and was shoeless.

Shelly Flemal told police that when she realized her daughter was missing she searched the park playground area and then ran to her home a block away to see if Courtney had gone there.

"I looked away for just a few minutes. When I looked up again, she was gone," she said.

Police ask that anyone who has seen the child contact them at 801-629-8221.
