PRICE HIKE WAS NO `CORRECTION’

SHARE PRICE HIKE WAS NO `CORRECTION’

When Petroleum Retailers spokesman, Paul Ashton, disingenuously calls the pre-Memorial Day gasoline price hike a "correction," he sounds just like a tobacco industry defender. We're not as gullible as you'd like us to be. When gas prices from Provo to Bountiful vault to exactly the same extortionate level the day before a four-day weekend, that's not "a delayed price correction." That's coordinated profiteering. Tell it like it is, Paul. Admit that the petroleum cabal is going to take advantage of every excuse to wring excessive profits from Utah motorists, regardless of market realities.
