Provo city police officers are investigating a report by two Provo girls that they were raped after being offered a ride home from a Springville drive-in theater early Saturday morning.

The girls, ages 14 and 15, told police they started walking toward Provo at 2 a.m. after they found their ride had left without them. Two males offered the girls a ride home but took the girls to Provo Canyon and raped them, according to Provo Police Captain George Pierpont. The girls were then dropped off at the Orem Wal-Mart at 5:30 a.m.Both girls were taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and released.
