James Carville says married life with Mary Matalin is great, but the phone and the fax machine are driving them batty.
Carville, 49, said he and wife need to find more time for each other."We're both scheduling sluts. We just get talked into anything," said Carville, who is profiled with Matalin, 40, in the July issue of Vanity Fair.
Carville, who was President Clinton's chief campaign strategist, said he and Matalin, the former deputy manager for President George Bush's re-election campaign, need to tell people they're not at home.
"The phone rings incessantly. And the fax machine, you have no idea how much noise that makes, as soon as we walk in," Carville complained. "Once people know you're out there, that's it - you're toast."
The couple began dating in 1991 and were married last Thanksgiving.
