Hunt's Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce has taken a bold direction. The new "hearty, zesty flavor" is still all natural and retails for $.99 for a 15.5-ounce can.

Don Russell (married, five children at home, ages 14-4): "Sweet, tangy and tasty aptly describe Hunt's new Manwich. The contents of the can combined with a pound of ground beef team for a pretty good sloppy Joe; however, I couldn't really tell any difference between this version and the traditional one that Hunt's has made for decades. We enjoyed the mesquite taste and other spices that we detected in this new version."Edyth Jensen (married, three children and two grandchildren at home): "Tone down the tomato taste just a bit and this will be as inviting to eat as the other Manwich meat sauces."

Nihla Lake (married, two children at home): `My husband and children tested this because I like Manwich about as well as Hamburger Helper - yuk!

"They reported that this was really excellent when prepared with turkey. The barbecue flavor was not overpowering and didn't keep coming back to haunt you all night. They rated it `two thumbs up.' "

Linda C. Tingey (single mother, four teenage boys at home): "Bravo! This is very good, although the taste isn't a whole lot different from regular Manwich.

"Manwich has always been a little too strong for me so I've just used twice as much hamburger as it calls for. I discovered this by accident when I needed it to go further because I had extra people for dinner and it was wonderful. It wasn't so strong or so `sloppy' as it is when you use only one pound. I've used Manwich for years because I don't have time to make it from scratch. I will definitely buy this new flavor again."

Rich Firmage (married, three children, oldest 8 years old): "We're not big on sloppy Joes, and this was our first try with Hunt's Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce. It was very easy and very quick, which is just what we need. I thought it was great, I liked the flavor. I might have to try this again sometime."

Bill Allred (single): " `It's not just a Manwich - it's a meal!' Well, I wouldn't go that far. I'd maybe have a little corn on the side. Or perhaps some broccoli would be nice. I'd have a little dessert, too. This Hunt's Bold Manwich mix is pretty good for something from a can. I'd buy it again to have on hand for emergencies."

Conclusion: You ought to "hunt" for this new bold Manwich - it's great!
