- Edy's Grand Ice Cream is introducing the first lactose-reduced ice cream available on the market.It's estimated that one in five Americans, almost 50 million people, are lactose-sensitive.
Edy's Grand Lactose-Reduced Ice Cream contains 70 percent less lactose than regular ice cream, less than one gram of lactose per serving.
- New from Ben & Jerry's: Eight flavors with no chunks. It's called the smooth line.
In one taste test, White Russian and Aztec Harvests Coffee got raves. Deep Dark Chocolate was well-liked also. But Vanilla Caramel Fudge ("not much taste" and "it was OK.") and Double Chocolate Fudge Swirl ("too rich") were less popular.
