Michael Bolton will be back in Salt Lake City on Saturday, June 11 - albeit in a different venue than his last performance here.
Back in October 1991, Bolton wowed a sold-out crowd at the Salt Palace. On Saturday he'll try to do the same in the Delta Center.
The Grammy-winning singer will again bring with him a string of hits - with several more added to the list in the past couple of years. His current concert tour is tied to promoting his latest album, "The One Thing."
(He's also still smarting and in the midst of an appeal of a jury's ruling that he plagiarized his song "Time Is a Wonderful Thing' - a huge hit that wowed that crowd at the Delta Center.)
Bolton's opening act is a big name all by herself: Celine Dion has one of the more powerful voices in pop music.
The 25-year-old French Canadian, the youngest of 14 children, has found two of her biggest English-language hits in movie soundtracks - her Grammy-winning duet of the theme song to "Beauty and the Beast" with Peabo Bryson and her duet of "When I Fall In Love" (from the movie "Sleepless in Seattle") with Clive Griffin.
Dion's hits includes a pair of Top 5 singles - "If You Asked Me To" and "The Power of Love."
Reserved tickets in the upper bowl of the Delta Center are still available at $28 apiece. Tickets can be purchased at the Delta Center box office and all Smith'sTix locations.
