SHARE 3 S.L.-AREA SENIORS AWARDED BENSON SCHOLARSHIPS

Three outstanding high school seniors from the Salt Lake area have been awarded the prestigious Ezra Taft Benson scholarship from Brigham Young University and will begin studies in fall semester 1994.

Amy Lynn Coleman, daughter of Eugene and Patricia Coleman; Amy Michelle Fuller, daughter of Larry B. and Kim A. Pace, and Patrick Q. Mason, son of P. Michael and LeAnn L. Mason, were among 12 young men and 12 young women nationwide chosen on the basis of superior scholarship, leadership ability, high moral character and service to school, community and church.The Ezra Taft Benson scholarship, named after the late president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which sponsors BYU, is the top scholarship award offered by BYU. Each grant is for a minimum of $14,040 over four years.

Coleman is a recent graduate of Brighton High School. Fuller is from Granger High School while Mason is from Skyline High School.

All three were involved in a variety of activities.
