Shirley Ann West Eardley, 59, passed away peacefully June 8, 1994 at her home of cancer with her family at her side.

Born January 19, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Winferd W. and Beryl McQueen West. Married Alex R. Eardley February 5, 1953 in Price, Utah. Shirley grew up and attended schools in Price. Employed at Harmons Grocery Store in the accounting office for 20 years and considered them her second family. Shirley's greatest joy was her family and being of service to others. She consistently thought of others first putting their needs before her own. She loved working with handicapped children. Member of Utah Jesters Clown Alley. Loved to dress up as Cupcake the Clown and entertain the children at Primary Children's Hospital. Member of the LDS Church, where she held many positions. Everyone who knew her loved her.Survived by husband, Alex; four children, Sandra Wallace, Scott Eardley, Sherrie Salee and Shawn Eardley, all of Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the Taylorsville 8th Ward, 1495 West Tamarack Road (4600 South). Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m., McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Saturday at the church one hour prior. Interment: Hoytsville Cemetery.
