Government action

Pleasant GroveIn its June 7 meeting, the City Council:

- Held a public hearing on the city's proposed $3.8 million budget for fiscal 1994-95. No one spoke against the budget that includes a property-tax increase that would cost the owner of a $100,000 home an estimated $25 more a year.

- Approved the 14-lot Wren Wood Estates subdivision, 1400 E. 500 South, and the nine-lot Cherry Ridge subdivision, 400 E. 800 North.

- Approved the Tennis Company's $138,400 bid to build tennis courts and lights, and Custom Fence Company's $116,352 bid to construct ballpark fencing at Manila Park.

- Approved a contract with Northstar Cablevision to provide cable TV service in the city.


On Tuesday, June 7, the City Council:

- Approved a resolution directing the waste-water disposal system to the Spanish Fork treatment plant.

- Approved ordinances for permits and bonding, street lighting and building permits.

- Accepted the tentative budget for fiscal year 1995 and revised the budget for fiscal year 1994.
