The Sevier County Arts Council will expand its annual festival to include artists from throughout Utah and other states this year.

The major event has also been renamed "The Sevier County Fall Arts and Heritage Festival." It will be Sept. 16 and 17 in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree and the "Gathering of Clans."Officials said expansion of the fall festival to artists who live outside the area follows two years of successful programs that featured talented local artists.

The Clans event will feature bag-pipe bands, whose members are of Scottish heritage, performing and participating in parades. An evening of entertainment is planned Sept. 16 at the Richfield Tabernacle, followed the next morning with a bagpipe parade.

A variety of ethnic food concessions will be added to this year's festivities. Main Street will be closed to traffic between Center Street and 100 North for booths, food concessions and other activities.
