An Orem woman died Wednesday afternoon after suffering injuries in a head-on collision on Geneva Road in Lindon.
Killed was:Heidi Jeane Gatherum, 19.
Gatherum was driving southbound on Geneva Road near 500 North shortly before 3 p.m. when she apparently lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the center line, said Pleasant Grove police Sgt. Steve Frampton. Gatherum's car struck a northbound van driven by Traci Shumway, of Provo, head-on.

Both women were transported to American Fork Hospital. While Shumway was treated for lacerations and released, Gatherum was declared dead upon arrival.
