Calvin Everett Sims, 69, died Tuesday, August 8, 1994, in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier.
He was born January 4, 1925, in Oakley, Wyoming, to Thomas Everett and Buelah Tremelling Sims. He graduated from Utah State in accounting and served in World War II. He married Delsa Jean Lane December 9, 1950 in Montpelier and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died September 18, 1977. He later married El Louise Rex Satterthwaite on September 20, 1982. He is survived by his wife of Montpelier; one son, Bruce and Nola Sims of West Valley City; and three daughters, Laura and Christian Ulmer of North Salt Lake; Kathy Boelter of Ogden; and Patricia J. Sims of Clearfield; also eight grandchildren; one brother, Walter T. Sims of Logan; and three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Stella) Long, and Mrs. Alton (LaVern) Cahoon, both of Ogden; Mrs. Orvil (Nelda) Evans of Garden City, Utah; five stepchildren and their spouses and nine stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon, in the Montpelier 4th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday at the church, 10:30-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Garden City Cemetery.
