Our wonderful husband, father, grandpa and great-grandfather, Paul Walker Quayle, 71, died peacefully at home on August 9, 1994 after a valiant battle with an extended illness.
We will miss you deeply, but you will live forever in our hearts.He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 27, 1923 to Harry and Thelma Walker Quayle. He married his sweetheart, Dahrl Rae Miller on September 24, 1947. Dad loved life. His family and especially his grandchildren were his life and they loved him dearly. He was an excellent wood cutter. No one has ever been able to cut our craft wood like him and nobody ever will. He loved his yard and being outside and waving at everyone as they drove by. He was loved by everyone.
He started to work at Kennecott when he was 17 and retired from there after 42 years. He and his loving wife moved to Ferron 10 years ago. He loved living in Ferron and going to church with his friends. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church where he held the position of High Priest. He served our country with the Merchant Marines in World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of Ferron; three sons and three daughters: Bob (Judi) Quayle, West Valley City; Randy (Shirley) Quayle, Heber; Koni (Larry) Liston, Castle Dale; Ron (Cathy) Quayle, Holladay; Paula (Jim) Lucas, Ferron; and Julie (Travis) Winn, Ferron; 11 grandchildren, Shon, Kevin, Ryan, Tracy, Justin, Timmy, Kelly, Nathan, Megan, Christopher and Savannah and three great-grandchidren, Cherise, Christian and Paul Taz. He is also survived by his brother, Vernon (Fae) Quayle, Magna; and a sister, Leone (Elvin) Bennett, Magna. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Harry, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Ferron Stake Center, Ferron, Utah. Viewing will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale and one and a half hours before services at the stake center. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery.
