Mary Lucile Thatcher Jeffery Roylance, age 75, of Springville died Wednesday, August 10, 1994 in Provo of complications following heart surgery.
She was born June 26, 1919 in Meadowville, near Soda Springs, Idaho, the oldest of six children of Wilford E. and Mary R. Thatcher. She attended schools in Soda Springs, Idaho, and Roosevelt, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University. She married Rondo N. Jeffery, March 10, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 16, 1940. She married Arnold C. Roylance, March 17, 1944 in the Manti LDS Temple. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She taught school in Mt. Pleasant and Ogden, Utah. She worked at the University Standards office at B.Y.U., for nine years, retiring in 1984.She is survived by her husband of Springville; six sons and one daughter, Rondo N. Jeffery (Janet) of Roy; Don A. Roylance (Loydene) of San Clemente, Calif.; Terry F. Roylance (Diane) of Salt Lake City; Marcia R. Cameron (Kent) of Salt Lake City; Paul C. Roylance (Terri) of Salt Lake City; Mark E. Roylance (Linda) of Rialto, Calif.; and Steven Roylance of Springville; 31 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Everett Thatcher of Oregon City, Oregon; John L. Thatcher of Honolulu, Hawaii; Marlene Littlefield of Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Thatcher, and sister, Leola T. Allred.
Funeral will be Saturday, August 13, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek LDS Stake Center, 350 No. 400 East. Friends may call at the stake center on Friday, from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary.
